Enjoy the free summer concerts during Fourth Fridays! Concerts start at 6:30 p.m. and feature local talents from all musical genres. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for seating.

Downtown Days

Plan to kick off summer with the FREE Downtown Days Festival, presented by Lee's Summit Medical Center. This three day event is always hosted the first weekend in June and features live entertainment, carnival rides, sports and autograph booth, festival food, handcrafted goods, and two beer tents. For more than 20 years, Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street has been hosting this family-friendly festival in the heart of downtown Lee’s Summit.

Oktoberfest

Join more than 120,000 visitors for the Lee’s Summit Chamber’s Oktoberfest in historic downtown Lee’s Summit held in September. Guests enjoy two stages of live entertainment, a Biergarten, German meals and dancing, carnival, children’s activities on kids street, handmade arts and crafts booths and more! This family-friendly festival has been a community favorite for over 30 years!

OKTOBERFEST

Flights of Fancy

This family-friendly event in April is worth a visit to the MCC-Longview campus with a variety of food trucks and endless entertainment! The kites of Great American Kites and Events take flight over the lawn surrounded by thousands of spectators. Set your eyes on awe-inspiring mega kites, power kites, stunt kites and more including the world's largest windsock – three stories high and 200 feet long!

FLIGHTS OF FANCY

Legacy Blast

Legacy Blast features a free fireworks show, perfectly choreographed to music broadcast on 94.9 KCMO, for an unforgettable Fourth of July celebration. Attendees can enjoy a DJ, food trucks and a variety of family-friendly events, including balloon artists and face painting, before the fireworks show begins. Held at Legacy Park, Legacy Blast is the perfect summer outing! Be sure to bring blankets and chairs to relax and enjoy the festivities in comfort.
