Embrace your creativity and enjoy an array of live performances, artist exhibits and so much more right here in Lee’s Summit.

Lee's Summit has a great variety of arts and culture around town. Grab the family and enjoy a live performance at Howard Station Park or head to Legacy Park Amphitheater for the ultimate experience. Take a tour around town and find the many murals and public art displays. Lee's Summit is lucky to have its very own symphony that graces musical tones throughout the year. There is something for everyone.

These Are the Days
209 SE Green St.

Artist D. Ross "Scribe" portrays the different eras of Lee's Summit, starting in the early 1900s and moving towards a Jetsons-inspired future. Each panel reflects the town's changing character while maintaining a playful and imaginative spirit throughout. 

Lee's Summit in Color
220 SE Green St. Parking Garage

Artist Doodle Dood tells the story of Lee's Summit by tracing the city's origins as a late-1800s railroad town and its modernization throughout the 1900s, as well as its current growth and expansion. 

Historic Longview Farm
450 SW Longview Blvd.

Artist Phil Shafer of Sike Style Industries combines Longview's agricultural roots and business elements while depicting the changing of the seasons.

9 SE Third Street | In the alley next to Elle & Em.

Artist JT Daniels uses this mural to support and uplift the community, blending the character into a design that represent the heartbeat of the urban community. 

Love Local
317 SE Main St. | In the alley next to the Fossil Forge building.

Artist Fossil Forge created this mural to express the message of "Love Local" in the alley off Third Street in downtown Lee's Summit. 

America's Great Neighborhood
SE Main St.

This mural was created in recognition of being awarded America's Great Neighborhood in America by the American Planning Association! Downtown Lee's Summit is one of only four neighborhoods nationally to receive this honor.

Created by Fossil Forge in downtown Lee's Summit, this mural has become a popular spot for pictures of any age!

Fourth Fridays Art Walk

The Fourth Fridays Art Walk features over a dozen artist pop-ups. Local artist and live music performances showcase their talents in downtown Lee's Summit from April to August each year. Visit the many participating shops and restaurants while strolling the sidewalks of historic downtown!

Downtown Sculpture Walk
Various Locations

The Downtown Sculpture Walk is an outdoor public art program featuring vibrant and unique works of three-dimensional art. Each spring brings a new sculpture exhibit created by professional artists from across the country and our own community.

Parade of Hearts

Lee's Summit is the proud home to two Parade of Hearts sculptures for 2026. Find these at 220 SW Main St. and 209 SE Green St.

Emergence Time Capsule
City Hall Plaza

Emergence was created as a time capsule by local artist Dave Eames in 2015 and is set to open in 2065, made of Steel, Glass, and LED lighting. This work will be included among the changing RGB lights featured throughout Green Street. 

Everything Changes With a Dream
209 SE Green Street

Everything Changes With a Dream was inspired by a samara, or helicopter seed, from a Missouri native sugar maple tree. It symbolizes the City’s roots and vibrant future in a place where the community will gather.

Raptor
209 SE Green St.

Raptor, created in 2020 by artist Vince Houston, has made its way to Green Street! 

Hartley Heart
Downtown Lee's Summit, near Third and Douglas streets

The Hartley Heart has been an icon in downtown Lee's Summit since the 1950s. The neon light was refurbished in 2018.

Downtown Time
City Hall Lobby

"Downtown Time" was a creation by local artist Beth Martens, born and raised in Lee's Summit. This piece was from the "Parade of Hearts" art tour and now lives in the City Hall lobby.

Sculptures On the Move

Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation has art pieces in various parks as part of the “Sculpture on the Move” program. The latest installation is “Slices of Heaven” at Summit Park. Other pieces can be seen at Lowenstein Park and Legacy Park Amphitheater.

Pottberg Park Sculpture
5200 NE Campground Road, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64064

This 25-acre park has a firefighter-themed playground and a memorial area featuring a statue and an inlay of the firefighters' emblem. Named for Bryan C. Pottberg who died in the line of duty during a water rescue exercise.

Kids at Heart
Downtown Lee's Summit

World-renowned sculptor Kwan Wu created "Kids at Heart," a bronze sculpture for the people of Lee’s Summit. As the name implies, the sculpture is located in the heart of the city and has several story plaques on the walls behind it that tell about the sculpture and the downtown area.
